Intensive Outpatient Program

Our Intensive Outpatient Program assists individuals with recognizing the negative consequences related to substance use disorders. The Bridges of San Diego IOP provides support and healthy solutions with an appropriate action plan for every individual, not a one size fits all approach. Every individual is unique, and the level of care is determined at a personal assessment appointment with our Clinical Director.

San Diego Intensive
Outpatient Program

The Intensive Outpatient Program at The Bridges of San Diego is specifically designed for individuals who are just transitioning out of inpatient rehab, or those looking for serious drug and alcohol treatment, but are not able to take time away from work and family, or possibly, cannot afford rehab in an inpatient environment – at the Bridges, we realize that not everyone can just put their life on hold in order to address a substance use disorder!

World-class Intensive
Outpatient Program

Our world-class Intensive Outpatient Program enables our clients to receive evidence-based drug and alcohol treatment in an outpatient setting, while at the same time allowing one to continue working, as well as staying engaged with your home, family, and friends. Simply show up to our addiction treatment center three times per week, for a total of six weeks. Our certified and compassionate therapists will work with each client in both group and individual counseling sessions, helping each client to recognize the negative consequences related to alcohol and drug addiction and in turn, providing support, healthy solutions, and an appropriate action plan for each individual.

Our Program

Our Outpatient Treatment Center offers both day and evening classes. Our day program is Monday-Friday 10:00-1:00 PM and our evening program is 6:00-9:00 PM. Attendance may be split between days and evenings to accommodate client’s scheduling needs.  Our aim is to provide flexibility for working individuals by choosing a time that works best for their schedule. Based on one’s assessment clients may be enrolled for 3 or 5 days or nights per week. The minimum IOP enrollment is 6 to 8 weeks. Individual counseling sessions are included in each program.

Our group education and counseling sessions address the following topics:

  • Education on the disease of addiction with evidence based scientific facts
  • The meaning of Dual Diagnosis and underlying causes behind addiction
  • Mental health issues contributing to addiction
  • Anxiety and depression
  • Relapse prevention
  • Emotional Support
  • Spiritual development
  • Social interaction
