When it comes to addiction, each case is unique. The Bridges of San Diego offers various substance use programs to meet each person where they are on their journey. We know that treatment and recovery is not a one-size-fits-all solution. As a result, we work with patients to find the program that best fits their needs to reach the most successful outcome. Through individual, group, and family therapy sessions, patients can take the necessary steps to recover. We welcome all of our patients with open arms and are excited to help you with your treatment journey.
Who Do We Work With?
The Bridges works with patients who suffer from all types of addiction. This includes addictions to alcohol, prescription opiates, methamphetamines, cocaine, and heroin. We know that any type of addiction is a complex disease that needs a wide variety of treatment options.
Intensive Outpatient
Intensive outpatient treatment is perfect for individuals who are transitioning out of an inpatient rehab program. It is also a good option for those who need extensive treatment but can’t take time off work or afford treatment at an inpatient facility. With this program, you can live your normal day-to-day life while getting world-class help for your addiction. Patients who choose this program come to The Bridges three times a week for 6-8 weeks. Some people may need more time, and adjustments are made based on individual needs. During this time, patients work with therapists in both group and one-on-one settings. If you are looking to maintain your job and family life while receiving intensive treatment, this is the option for you.
Chronic Relapse
For some, addiction can be a struggle between periods of sobriety and periods of relapse. Some spend their entire lives fighting the battle of addiction and slipping back into periods of drug or alcohol use. The Bridges understands this battle and has created a chronic relapse program to help people get out of this cycle and back on the track to sobriety. During this program, patients will come in for treatment three times a week for twelve weeks. They will take part in individual and group sessions. Patients will be separated from those who are in treatment for the first time so that they can be surrounded by a group of people who share similar struggles. Once the twelve weeks are over, the program provides continuing care maintenance for six months to a year.
Partial Hospitalization Program
This intensive short-term treatment still allows patients to live at home, but they receive treatment at the center five days per week. This is our most intensive option available. During our initial phone call, our counselors will help determine if this option is right for you.
Family Support

Our programs aren’t just for individuals struggling with addiction. Our family support program is specifically designed for the family members of loved ones who are in the midst of addiction. Individuals who interact with loved ones struggling with addiction can often feel a wide range of emotions, from anger to sadness to hopelessness. It can be frustrating for family members who want to help their loved one but aren’t sure where to begin. The Bridges created this program to provide family members with the support they need during these tough times. During the program, family members have the chance to analyze their emotions while learning how to provide the necessary tools to help get their family member through treatment. Research shows that addiction treatment is much more successful when family members are actively involved in the recovery process, and this program shows families what that looks like.
Next Steps to Joining a Substance Use Program
If you are ready to take the next step toward recovery and sign up for an addiction treatment program, give The Bridges a call today. We begin with a 15-minute confidential phone call where we learn about you and your situation. From this conversation, we can help you decide which program is best for you. Once you have made the decision to take the step toward recovery, we will verify your insurance. We work with all major insurance carriers to help you get the treatment you need. After that, you will complete an assessment with one of our counselors, and then we’ll schedule your first treatment session. During your initial consultation and assessment, be as open and honest with us about your addiction as possible. Any information you can provide about your addiction history, cycles of relapse, or potential triggers can be very helpful to the counselors and therapists who will be working with you.
Addiction can put a strain on families, jobs, relationships, and more. This disease is a tough one, but it is also one that can be treated.
